Does not progress anymore on loading spinner after login

Maybe you're facing some timeout issue.

On first connection, database is populated. This can take from 30 second up to 5 minutes, depending on server performance.
Defaut PHP Timeout is 30 seconds. ProjeQtOr tries to dynamicalle inclease this value up to 1500 seconds duriong setup.
But some PHP stacks do not allows this dynamic change (it is the case on most hosting platforms).
It you have acces to php.ini, try and incread value of max_execution_time (then restart php to take new value into account)
If you don't, try and install incrementally each stable release of each major version (install V1.0.x, then 2.0.x, and so on up to V5.0).

But in any case, you should have traces in log file.
Post it here to confirm analysis.

1) Is the database populated ?
2) what value parameterValue) in table parameter for parameterCode='dbVersion' ?
3) could you check for browser issue logged in console ?

3) how can i check the browser issue, give me some hints.

[F12] to open Dev Tools.
Click on Console TAB.
