[SOLVED] Can you assign an activity to Resource Profile, instead of individual Resource?

I have a workflow in which different Resources do different activities. I have created Resource Profile (Project Member, Lead, Manager, etc.) and under each Profile, there are multiple Resources. When I create Activity, I want to assign it to a Resource Profile, and not to an individual Resource. If I assign it to Resources one-by-one, then (1) it will be painful to do that for many users, and (2) when new Resource is to be added, I have to remember to assign it to relevant Activity.

How can I assign Activity to Resource Profile?

What you can do is set your roject as administrative : every one will automatically be assigned to all activities of the projet, but you won't be able to distinguish profiles.

Do you think this can be an additional feature? According to me, this feature makes lot of sense in my kind of workflow driven role based project. But I am not sure if this will appeal to other industry situations.
