In Gantt chart, show the bar for the "current" task automatically, or manually

This is regarding Gantt chart shown in the following screens:
Follow-up >Planning,
Follow-up >Project portfolio
Follow-up >Resource Management

In these screens, we need to see the worksheet on the left and the corresponding part of the Gantt chart at the right.
When we scroll up/down in the spreadsheet, the Gantt chart should automatically scroll left/right to show the bar for that task.

Usually we also want to see the other tasks that are related to the "current" task. (e.g. to see their linkages)
Once the Gantt chart shows the current task, it is a trivial exercise to pan the Gantt chart a little to the left/right to see their bars.

But ProjeQtor does not let us view both in an intuitive way:

1. The display date fields From and To impose a limit on the display, which has to be adjusted manually.
If the project is spread over wide range of dates (or has large breaks), this is very cumbersome.

2. Even when the display date range is set correctly, we have to pan left/right in the Gantt Chart to locate the bar of that task.

Desired:
1. When the user selects a task in the spreadsheet, pan the Gantt chart automatically to show that task's bar.
Alternatively, let the user click on a particular icon in the row, to pan the Gantt chart manually.
(In fact, use two icons for this purpose, to let the user jump to the start or end of the bar of that task.)

2. The display date range (the From and To fields) won't be mostly needed
(If it is left blank, ProjeQtor should set its value to starting of the project, or the start date of the earliest task in the screen.)

Just don't select date.
You'll automatically view from current day to end of project

Other option is to change scale to see hole project...

Request recorded as Ticket #3442

(If it is left blank, ProjeQtor should set its value to starting of the project, or the start date of the earliest task in the screen.)

This goes against mostly desired use : when not set, Gantt is displayed from current date : in most cases, we don't bother about past, planning is an exercice to look in the future.
