Hi,

We have a Projeqtor in our company for a while and it is quite useful for us. Previously I did some updates after the initial installation we are using 7.3.3. This week wanted to move to a bigger server. Our old server is Synology and the new one is x64 Ubuntu machine.

I installed the required packages if I download and extract projeqtorV8.1.4 and put in www it works, it shows me the default setting page and I can log in with admin/admin credentials.

My question is how do I move everything from the old server to the new? I did put the old projeqtor folder in the same location and it behaves like a new installation, I/users cannot login with the credentials, can not see any tickets etc.

Hi,

To migrate you have to :
- copy DB (export / import)
- copy files (default location is ../files/ but locations may have been changed at setup or through global parameter screen
- make sure to adapt parameters (db name, ...) in parameters.php (location is defined in tool/parametersLocation.php

Hi Babynus

Hi,

To migrate you have to :
- copy code----> this part is just to download from internet igues?
- copy DB (export / import) ---> I could not find how to do it in the menus of PQT, any hints/suggestions? I think simply copy and paste do not work as it did with the updates.
- copy files (default location is ../files/ but locations may have been changed at setup or through global parameter screen----> Previous installer used the default, this I will change after making it work..
- make sure to adapt parameters (db name, ...) in parameters.php (location is defined in tool/parametersLocation.php----> I will take a look when I am back at the office tomorrow.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply!!!

No, copy code from source server to target server.
Then you'll be sure to have same version, with installed plugins, customizations, ...

- copy DB (export / import) ---> I could not find how to do it in the menus of PQT, any hints/suggestions? I think simply copy and paste do not work as it did with the updates.

You'll have to use an external tool to manage the DB. mysqldump (line command) or phpMyAdmin (web application) will do the job

- copy files (default location is ../files/ but locations may have been changed at setup or through global parameter screen----> Previous installer used the default, this I will change after making it work..

Then copy of coe (from source to target) will do the job
