Activity progress in gantt view without using timesheet

Hello,

when I have an activity with a ressource the progress is shown in gantt when adding work to timesheet. Is it possible to get progress in gantt without using timesheet? Background is, that we have another tool for tracking time per project and want to use ProjeQtOr only for project planning. For that it would be necessary to add manual progress to an activity and show that within gantt to see, if activity is in time...

I set global planning parameter "manual progress of fixed-duration activities" to "yes", planning of activity to "fixed duration" and progress of activity to 60% "manual" but there is no progress bar in gantt view...
