I would appreciate having the possibility to first automatically plan an activity, fix it's auto-generated planning and then switch to manual planning to edit the proposal ? 
Is there anyway to do that ?

Thanks for your answer, is there anyway that this feature gets onto your backlog list of improvements ? I mean the automatic planning is a great functionality for long terme capacity planning but gets heavy to manage for shorter term.

No, as that's not the way ProjeQtOr works : it is not a way to "draw" a gantt, but a powerfull calculation tool to show you when your projets end with the capacity of your resources.

You may use the new "Duration driven" planning mode, but this won't calculate first. You always indicate what you want.
