Percentage completion of activity

Hi,

Let me explain the steps and then get to my question.
Activity 1: Planned effort = 24 hours
Real work = 16 hours
% completion is 66.67%

This is the current behaviour.

However my question is, if my estimated effort is wrong and 16 hours is good enough to complete the work, is there any way for me to mark the Activity as 100% completed (I can mark the activity status as done, however my progress is still shown as 66.67%)? Or Is there any workaround to circumvent this issue?

We are using V4.2.3.

That was quick !!!!!!

I tried setting the left work to zero, however at activity level (which was always restricted). After your response tried it at the developer level (to whom the activity is assigned). It works like a charm.
