I tried installing again by unzipping file on server but now it logs me in by saying login accepted and then shows blank page.

it sometimes happens when php retrieves old session.
Try and clean browser cache and delete cookies.

I did clear cache and cookies, it displayed login page after this but again after login, it says login accepted and shows blank page,

Check for errors in projeqtor log file and in apache error log file, and post them here.

I am getting following error.
ERROR : Declaration of ActivityMain::getStaticColCaptionTransposition() should be compatible with SqlElement::getStaticColCaptionTransposition($fld = NULL) in ActivityMain.php

I can not remove php-mbstring as it is used by another website.

There is not such issue in community version.

Maybe you changed some code of unziping was not correct.
