Hi,

It will be nice to have ability to add link to the task (activity) for external document rather than have whole document as an attachment

Ok, instead of attachment I want the following:
We have our own bugs/requests tracker where information is kept. When we create a task related to the bug/request we want to put a link to this document (which is on our server) instead of attachment. So, if people click to this link the document will be opened.

OK, I understand.
So it's just on attachments to replace the upload of a file by a link.
NB : this should also be available on all attachments, not only on tasks.
