Add graphical representation of "asked dates" on Gantt view

Hello,
I think it would be very useful to add a graphical representation of "asked dates" on Gantt view, when they are set on activities. Proposal : a grey thin bar ended with two vertical ticks. This would help to see graphically the difference between planned / asked dates after a replanification.

Hi,

Interesting idea, but I would rather apply it on Validated dates rather than requested dates.

But it should enter in conflict with another requested evolution : draw baselines.
Idea is to be able to save baselines (planning V0, V1, ...) and compare baselines (V0 vs V1, V1 vs current, V0 vs current)

In fact, I feel that validated dates have a drawback when compared to initial dates as they have another meaning depending on the activity planning mode : they may be used as input for planification.
This is the reason why I always use initial dates, and on some key activities only (on those that are under the light of projectors) to keep "validated dates" , and compare real progress of the project (planned dates) to those dates. When some replanifications are decided, then I update those initial dates which are in fact "validated dates", but doing that with initial dates keeps me from mixing this concept with the validated dates one that may have an impact on planning calculation, which I don't want. I also want to be able to plan some non key activities (meaning no validated dates) using fixed dates : the way to separate those two needs I found was to use initial dates for validated dates. I think I could also have added milestones but this would have been more heavy.
This is also the reason why the color coding of activities based on comparing planned dates vs validated dates is useless to me : I would rather have the comparison done with initial dates.
I think this need is quite different than seeing the difference between two versions of the planning : it's only a matter of visually seeing if current planning is in line with objectives.
