I've not explained correctly what I suggest : I have already the plugin "Screen Customization" but use it to modify a few screen (I'm ok with you, fields that will fit my need won't fit yours or needs of any other project leader.
In fact, what I meant is not for screen customisation but the global view of projects, tickets, activity, meeting,....
In theses view, we can choose the columns to display
What I propose as ehancement is the possibility to "define" and "store" different views models (like what you propose with the filters).
With this possibility, we can adapt the view on different "job view", like Project Manager (vith colum to view quickly workload, date,...), or administrative people (with columns like date, cost, expenses,....
