Activities and milestones are part of a GANTT diagram.
and projects, and meetings, and test sessions, ...
When filtering, it should take into account any linked predecessors and successors into the display.
I don't agree.
When a filter is applied, items that don't fit the filter must not be displayed, whatever the dependencies.
Only parents should be displayed, to preserve the WBS structure, even if not fitting the filter.
When filtering on i.e. WBS i.e. "starts with", it should show milestones. It is recorded in the planning database.
It would be a good thing, I agree.
And then not only on WBS filtering, filter on name should also show miletones fitting the filter. That this feature is not anymore available is for me a regression
Tihs feature has never worked as you expect.
This is not a regression, it always worked as it is working now.
and unfortunate makes ProjeQtor less attractive or even more, not the right tool for large projects.
I don't share this view, but this is you opinion.
With large projects, filtering is a great feature to reduce loading time into the browser.
Of course, and as you point out, Projeqtor is able to manage large projects, and provides some powerfull filtering (how many competitors can do the same ?).
I would highly recommend to revisit the filtering topic and re-include milestones.
Once again, milestones have never been included when filtering on planning view, so we cannot re-include them.
But sure, it could be a great feature to have milestones included in the filter, as well as all other planable items.
It is such a good idea that this is already recorded is the roadmap as Ticket #5818, not planned yet.
But this is a complex work to be able to filter on several classes of objects, preserving the existing filter features (saving advanced filters, dynamic filters, shared filters, ...)
Then how much are you ready to pay for this feature ?
Projeqtor is totally free to use, this does not mean we are living on love and fresh water.
Our dev team concentrates efforts on high value features (currently we work on ergonomy) and sponsored evolutions.
I you really need it, consider sponsoring it
