Hi Babynus,

Is it possible in configuration (or if not please direct me to the code) to add validation within the workflow process.

I wish to ensure that no ticket is set to "In Progress" without "estimated work" completed.

Yes,
You just have to configure workflow as you wish.
For instance, create new status "estimate validated"

Then define workflow so that only project leader (or other validator profile) can move to "estimat validated" and so that it is not possible to go to "in progress" from other status than "estimat validated".
