Hello. We need a help.
We work on big projects and often several scope of work go to other company (subcontractor). Sometimes we work on full project.
Subcontractor haven't access to our Projeqtor and it isn't needed.
If we give work to other company, we want plan this work (and it's progress). But only we know is start and end dates and price of work.
(Also this external work has dependencies with our outer work).

Any idea how correctly plan in this situation?
Is it possible in currrent release or need more functionality?

Replied by babynus on topic Manage subcontractors
Just use fix duration planning mode.

Then you can either
1) define an expense to enter cost of subcontractor,
or
2) manage cost as resource cost : you define a resource for subcontractor with capacity = number of persons in subcontractor's team
and add real work corresponding to cost of subcontractor's intervention
Then you enter real work when subcontractors gives information about progress (you can enter all on one day, even if is is more than capacity)
