Is it normal that the priority on a planning of a project is not passed on to the subproject?

If I put a priority to 850 on project 1, and I do not touch the priorities of subprojects 1.1, 1.2, etc ...
During a planning calculation, the project 1 retreats well in time, but not the subprojects 1.1, 1.2, etc ...

I am obliged to apply the priority 850 to the project as well as all sub projects ... Is this normal?
