Maybe I've done some wrong costs assignements, but when I compare the following reports:
resources costs per month and cost synthesis per activity, the second is correct while the first is overestimated.
I don't know how to provide an example, but you can try at your level if it's the case.
I have the explanation of differences :
- "cost synthesis per activity" retreives costs from activities (real and left) : it is always up to date
- "resource cost per month" retreives data from planning : real costs, months by months, as entered by reosurces, and left work, months by months, as planned by Planning process.
If left work is updated on some tasks, these two reports will display differences, as long as planning is not run again.
Run planning calculation will resync "planned" and "real" values.
It works. Well understood.
Thank you very much, now I understand better how the planning works and where do i have to perform corrections when plans changes.
I would like to create some custom reports, is there any documentation to allow me to avoid doing stupid errors on this?
