Automatic Import Rejects CSV files whereas WebUI accepts CSV file

Hi,

I am exporting data from our old system as a CSV file, and importing that into our new system.

The files I create can be imported from within the WebUI, under "Tools->Import Data". However, if I do this as an automatic import by coping the CSV file into the import directory which the CRON job is looking at, the import is failing with this message:

<b>ERROR - Provided file type and selected file format do not match</b><br/>Import aborted</body>

I have tried to simplify the CSV file down to a very simple file, but no joy. I have attached the file for reference. (I had to rename the .csv extension to .txt so that I could upload it)

Any help to decipher why the file is not accepted on the automatic import would be very much appreciated.

The file I uploaded was renamed from .csv to .txt. I had to do this as the forum site doesn't allow me to upload .csv file extensions.

If I try to import my file with a .txt extension, I do get the error message you are seeing, but not as much information. I only see this first line:

ERROR - Type : File Type and Type selected are not consistent

This information I do not see:
File Name : xxxxx
Type Selected : xxxxx

I am looking at the log file in [import_directory]/logs.

Do you still get the same message if you rename the .txt file back to a .csv file and then do the import?

Oh, that is good news. Possibly something with our setup. We are using v 3.4.4
