Quick linking of Activity/Milestones Predecessors and Successors - ticket #1987

I could not find this as a suggested improvement or a way of doing this. Currently, when setting up a new project, the slowest part is the linking of activities and milestones with their predeccessors and successors. You can manually add be picking from a list which is slow or using the planning tool by dragging and connecting the items to create the link which is also slow as it has to add the link and then recalculate the plan.

I would like to see the ability to enter these types of links in a modified planning view. Add a column for predecessor and/or successor and allow typing of the wbs number to create the link and not automatically recalculate planning until requested.

Thank you for pointing this evolution out. However, this evolution does not quite addresses what I am suggesting. I am looking for the speed of entering the links in a list format with just keyboard navigation instead of needing to click on each item. More along the lines of a spreadsheet view and being able to just do down a column and enter the dependencies. In thinking about it, it would also be useful to be able to edit the durations the same way.

I would use the import function with a spreadsheet but I cannot find how to import dependencies.
