Hi,
I'm having trouble to make "Indicators" work.
I understood that configuring a indicator will make an internal alert and an email be send to the selected receivers.
Yesterday (jun-16) I've configured an indicator for an action and creted a action.
In my indicator, I've configured: reminder= 2 days before actual due date; alert = 1 day before actual due date .
My next step was to create an action with actual due date to JUN-18.
By doing that, I was supposed to receive a reminder yesterday (JUN-16) and a alert today (JUN-17).
Yesterday the internal alert worked just fine. However, no email was sent. There's no record or failure in the "Emails sent" screen. I've checked the log file and there's no error. The chron seems to be running.
Attached, follows the print screens.
Is my understanding about Indicators correct? What could I do to make it work?
Hi babynus,
I've checked the e-mails of the contacts/resources/users supposed do receive the e-mail and they are correct.
In order to check if it was a SMTP server problem, I've checked the "Others" option and set my personal email (in gmail). The email arrived in my account.
Then, I left the "Others" option checked and set my professional e-mail (the same one that is configured in my contact/resource/user records in Projeqtor. Again, the e-mail arived.
Then, I've unchecked the "Others" option and tried again. No e-mail arived.
For last, but not least, I've checked again the "Others" option, but did not informed any e-mail address in the field. The e-mails starting to arrive again in my e-mail (the one configured in my contact/resource/user records in Projeqtor).
It's an odd behavior, and seems to be an issue in projeqtor. Is it correct?
Attached, the Indicator configuration which is working.
I tried to reproduce the behavior you describe, but always received emails.
Here is what I did :
- create new ticket T1 with no actual due date, responsible pointing to email M1
- create indicator I1 for Tickets on due date, with email to responsible
- change due date of T1 < current date => email send to M1 : OK
- change due date of T1 > current date (no more overdue)
- change indicator I1 : add Other email to M2
- change due date of T1 < current date => email send to M1 and M2 : OK
- change due date of T1 > current date (no more overdue)
- change indicator I1 : unchek Other email
- change due date of T1 < current date => email send to M1 : OK
- change due date of T1 > current date (no more overdue)
- change indicator I1 : chek Other email but with no email address
- change due date of T1 < current date => email send to M1 : OK
So there seems to be no issue.
During your tests, maybe you forgot to change due date so that alert is not needed before changing indicator and changing back again due date.
If alert has already been raised for an indicator, it is not raised again it indicator is changed.
I close the ticket unless you can provide test case producing the issue.
