Subcontracting budget

Hello,

I work in the industry sector, and I'm considering the use of your fine software for our Project Management.
We have many projects with several components(products) each, that are subcontrated (fabrication), and we pay them by weight (€/kg).
Is there a way to specify in the project (or product) a budget for subcontracting so that we can use a weight estimate, and afterwards add a project (or product) expense?

Thanks for any help you can give.
Rui

Yes, you can do it !

1) define a new Expense detail type, with unit as Kg, and possible cost per Kg
2) add your costs in Individual expense : adding a detail ine, you'll be able to use the new Expense detail type.

Thanks for the solution.

I see that we have quotation items under Financial menu. This is only for tracking budgets that my company is sending to clients, or can it be used to track our subcontractor's budgets?

Quotations, Ordes & Bills are for incomings (earnings)

Subcontracting is an Expense.
