We have recently come across ProjeQtOr and were fascinated by its features.
We are studying the use of ProjeQtOr for supporting the Value Recognition of our projects for accounting purposes. In this procedure, each project leader needs to inform on a monthly basis the curernt situation of their Deliverables in total earned value (absolute or on a % basis).
For achieving this purpose we are considering to use ProjeQtor's "Deliverables" form and complement it with the "Customization of Screens" plugin.
Is there a proper way of achieving this result that is already built into ProjeQtOr?
Projeqtor does not directly manage Earned Value on basis of finished items.
It can produce earned value on basis of what is done (even not finished).
It is simply real work, that calculates progress.If you define cost of resources, then you get real cost.
But it's not directly real "Earned value".
Real work (or cost) helps calculate project progress : progress = real / (real + left)
Earned value is : progress * validated (work or cost). This can differ from real if left has been changed (as it is often the case).
Now, about deliverables, yes you can add some value for deliverables, and status will help you manage delivered deliverable.
But you won't have any report that will automatically sum the value for deliverable in status delivered.
You will have for instance to export list of deliveravles in csv format including value field, then open csv file with excel to easily get the sum.
It's not very complex for something that will be done only once a week, but not cimpletely automatic.
Thank you babynus for the answer, we are now successfully using ProjeQtOr for recognizing revenue as described.
The process has been running smoothly and as an improvement we would like to set up automatic notifications for updating Deliverables progress on the end of each month.
For this we've been trying the Notification Definition form. We have set up the Notification Rules and Frequency but strangely when selecting receivers only the Admin gets notified and is listed as a receiver on the Notification form even though the deliverables and projects are responsability of a Project Leader (as receivers, we are setting Deliverable Responsible and Project Manager).
Would you happen to know how to address this issue?
