How to Get Browser to Remember Login and Password

Apparently javascript has to be disabled in order for the browser to prompt to remember the password for projeqtor site. I can use this workaround to get firefox to remember the password (turn javascript off, login, turn javascript back on) However, it does not work for Chrome. Is there a workaround for this so that all browsers will prompt to remember the password?

Hi,

You must have a very specific configuration or plugin, because there is no issue (at least on my side) to remember password on this web site.
It it powered by Joomla, so I guess it's an improved login form.

Thanks for the reply. I should clarify that I am referring to my own server installation of Projeqtor 4.1.1 when I speak of the password saving issue and NOT this forum site.

The forum saves the password just fine :)

OK, I understand better now.

Personnaly, I never had password saving for ProjeQtOr application login form.
But it never bothered me...

I first thought it was some Dojo constraint.
(dojo is the javascript framework used to render advanced widgets)

I searched a little bit about the subjet, and found that browsers propose to save password when they detect some submitted form containing both "login" and "password" fields.
But ProjeQtOr does not submit these fields, it submits some hashed (encoded) values of these fields, so that credentials do not travel throught internet in clear text, even without https access (it is a security trick).
So I'm affraid password saving will never work on ProjeQtOr.

What I still don't understand is how you get it work disabling javasript : if javascript is disabled, the application cannot work any more...

I read about that disabling javascript trick and thought I'd give it a go. And yes if I leave javascript turned off it breaks my projeqtor site. But, turning it off and trying to log in was enough to get firefox 24 to store the credentials. Now, with javascript enabled again firefox autofills the login and quite happily logs me in. So far haven't been able to get it to work with any other browser.

+1 for the fact that I seem to be able to leave myself logged in to my projeqtor site for at least a day without getting kicked back to a login screen. Do you know what the session timeout is supposed to be? Is it never?

Thanks again for response.
