ProjeQtOr version 4.2.3
I have two projects.
Project A in which a resource is allocated hours to complete a Task
Project B in which another Task is planned to start after the one in Project A has completed.
When the Calculate Planning Activities was run for Project A and then Project B the two Tasks ran consecutively
I remove the Task in Project A and ran the Calculate Planning Activities for Project A
I ran the Calculate Planning Activities in Project B and expected that the resources Task would move to the current date as the resource has nothing but this task to complete..
It does not move the task as I would have thought that it should. It stays planned at the same date.This Task is set to be Regular in Half days
Currently there are many working days before this task is due to start. All of them have no work assigned for this resource.
Why? What is stopping ProjeQtOR from calculating earlier times to complete the work.
There are other tasks in the system for this resource but there is no remaining time allocated to any of them
What do I have to do to get ProjeQtOr to move the task?

Change planning mode.
As you could see on Online Manual (Planning 4/5) "Regular in half days" is an extension of "Regular between dates". This means these tasks need Start and End dates to be defined and won't move in the planning.
Mauby "Fixed duration" would better fit your need.
