Mon entreprise a retenu Projeqtor comme logiciel de gestion afin de remplacer l'actuel, propriétaire, cher et trop fermé pour permettre d'évoluer.
My company has chosen Projeqtor as new management system for replacing its current software, not free, expansive and too closed to permit evolution.
Notre gros problème – bloquant – est que nous travaillons au niveau international et facturons ou sommes facturés dans plusieurs devises (euro, livre, dollar… mais pas seulement).
Our main – and blocking – problem is that we are working at international level and our invoices (in the two directions) may be in several currencies (euro, pound, dollar… but not only).
J'ai bien vu comment étendre les fonctionnalités de Projector, mais rien n'a été prévu pour avoir d'autres devises que celle par défaut.
I saw how extend Projeqtor's features, but nothing exists to have other currencies then the default one.
Aussi j'aimerais savoir :
1. S'il est envisageable d'espérer une évolution dans ce sens dans une prochaine version ;
2. Dans l'intervalle, comment m'y prendre pour adapter Projeqtor à l'utilisation de plusieurs devises.
So I would like to know :
1. If we can wait for an enhancement for currencies in a next version ;
2. Meanwhile, how to do to adapt Projeqtor for use of several currencies.
Je pense qu'une telle évolution serait un gros plus pour Projeqtor.
I think that so an evolution whoud be a big more for Projeqtor.

Edit: Je viens de contater qu'il existe déjà un ticket pour ça (#296), mais pour un futur indéterminé. Or nous en avons besoin pour septembre prochain au plus tard. Sinon, pas de migration.
I just noticed that a ticket already exists for that request (#295), but for an indefinite future. However ne need at the latest for next september. Else, no migration.
Implementation of multi-currency is an existing feature ... in the road map. It is Ticket #296
Not planned in the next versions, but maybe in a future (late future ?) version.
It is not considered high priority because :
- not much requests about it
- high complexity in cummulating amounts from different devices : must manage a conversion rate, and find a way to update it frequently, and keep trace of conversion value for a givent event.
First idea was to fix currency for a given project...
But then, there should have controls that sub-projects share the same currency...
Or maybe, there sould be a sum per currency (much more complex...).
So, multi-currency is not an easy upgrade.
Should need a clear need request, taking into account all impacts (sum, variantion of conversion, ...).
If you have clear idea of your need, I can propose to develop it for you as an evolution (see evolution service).

I think the currency concerns only quotes, commands, billing and payments, related to client and external resources.
And only one currency is possible for a quote, command, invoice or payment.
So we need only two additional fields at main level for these entities : currency used and rate vs local/default currency.
Internally, projects can always be charged with local currency.
However I have prior to speak on that with my boss (I'm a technician, not an administrative…), I'll probably come back on that in some days.
