Hi,
In the screen for managing users, i'd like to propose to create one more checkbox to allow the administrator choose if the user should use or not LDAP password.
Currenty, when you want do create a new user using LDAP integration, the administrator should:
1 - (i) create the user and configure its permissions in projeqtor; (ii)update the record in database to indicate it comes from LDAP;
OR
2 - (i) Ask the user to login in projeqtor (which will assume the standard profile for the user, generally a guest, with minimum access); (ii) configure the user profile and add him to the project(s) s/he will work; (iii) Notify the user it is allowed to use the application.
Althought it seems not so much work, in scenario 1, the update in database is generally performed by a DBA, which requires a ticket, with a SLA defined, etc. This results in a low process for creating a new user.
In scenario 2, the administrator should first send a e-mail to the user for letting him know the URL, ask him to loggin into projeqtor and then WAIT until the administrator gets back to him telling that s/he was properly configured. (
If the administrator could choose if the user comes or not from LDAP, it just has to create the user with the ID equal to the Domain ID, and click the button already existing in projeqtor to notify the user about its creating in projeqtor (button send user password, where the message configured in global parameter can already contain the URL, and explain to log with domain ID/Password). No ticket to DBA, no waiting, no explanation to the user why s/he has to loggin and wait to use the application

, etc.
Kind regards.
