Dear babynus,

I am new to ProjeQtOr and already fond of it. Great work!.

Yet I am missing dearly the "Stopwatch" functonality from my old application PHProjekt (Mayflower GMBH v6.2.1, maintenance stopped in 2011). I attached some screens from v5.3.1, the version of PHProjekt which I used most.

The Stopwatch might be of great help in keeping track with Real time allocation from within ProjeQtOr, not needing any other means of time tracking. On the other hand, you announced a Mobile app plugin. Maybe that is a good alternative for my needs. I was hoping for an app alike Gleeo Time Tracker. Could you please tell a bit more about your plans?

Regards,

Peter

Hi,

My name is Rene and I am also a brand new user of ProjeQtOr en new to the board. Really impressed by the software! You guys really are doing a great job.

That said, I totally agree with 0SV?s?4T: a timer for users linked to a project would be a great add on just like a mobile app plugin (will this be a responsive interface solution?).

I'm also very interested in the details about this plan.

Regards, Rene

Can you please describe a bit more this feature (preint screens are not very explicit) and I never userd PHProjekt

Mobile plugin will give restricted possibilities (much less that complete projeqtor application) to track activity with mobile devices.
We plan to deploy it about end of summer.

Hi babynus,

The use of PHProjekt Timecard Stop Watch is simple. On the Timecard window there are two tabs, Working times and Project bookings and two buttons, Working times start/ stop and Project booking start/ stop.

The Working times tab shows the working time overview of the choosen/ current month/ day. The work time can be recorded automatically with the Working times start/ stop button or assigned by hand with the Go button. Comments can be added and amendments carried out.

The Project bookings tab shows the assigned working times per (sub)project of the choosen/ current month/ day. The work time can be recorded automatically with the Project bookings start/ stop button or assigned by hand with the Go button. Comments can be added and amendments carried out. The discrepancy between the total working time and the project bookings is shown as "still to allocate". (Time = money!)

I made a screen cast video of the use of the PHProjekt Timecard Stop Watch of 3 MB/ 3:26 minutes, which exceeds the attachment limit and contains some privat info. Can I please PM this file to you? PHProjekt source code is explicitly made available to the community by Mayflower GMBH when they terminated the project. I can send it to you.

The mobile app should exactly have the same functionality as described above, no more no less. Of course project definitions and some other minimal required info should be retrieved from the ProjeQtOr server and the recorded times interchanged online. I looked ad the Gleeo Time Tracker app and I think that something similar should do the job!

Regards,

Peter

Hi,

I has a llok at the video. Thanks.

But I don't see any interest in ProjeQtOr scope :
- Timecard in PHPProjekt is at project level only, but ProjeQtOr defines work at activity level
- Mostly looks like Real work allocation feature, but with less levels (no activity level)
- the start/stop feature seems exactly like existing start/stop work on ticket (at a much interesting level)
