In order to keep the latest information immediately visible, I think it would be nice to display notes in the Activity Stream from the newest (at the top) to the oldest (at the bottom).
When there are many notes on an object I have to scroll down to see if there's anything new.
Second proposal : would it be possible in the Activity Stream full-page view (not the sidebar) to display the object title as well ID # ?
For example : "Note #123 added on Ticket #846 - Ticket title"
blabla this is my note bla bla
I realize this might be difficult because of the side bar. Definitely just a "nice to have", but not so important.

We designed it like a chat : lated on bottom (nerest text entry), auto slide so that newes is always visible.
I tested on Chrome and Firefox : it works as expected : select item, activity steam is displayed with latest visible (scrolled to bottom)
Add text : list auto scroll to show new one.
