However, in the thread linked above, user bgenolini mentinoned she/he was able to work around this by using filters and sorting in filters.
I tried this out, but for me the resulting ordering appears to be somewhat random - I have the impression that the sorting works on the priority names in lexigographical order (i.e. sorting the names as in a phone book) instead of sorting the values by "importance" (order in the dropdown).
Could this be the case or am I doing something wrong?
Generally, to me sorting by priority appears to be an important feature for a Kanban board.
If I sort ascending, then Tickets with undefined priority are sorted first (which is ok, I guess), but then "Critical", then "High Priority", then "Medium" priority - which actually is not random, but which I'd see as "descending".
That's basically good already, as I want to have the most important tickets first, but I'd also like to sort tickets with undefined priority last.
If I try to sort "ascending", then tickets with undefined priority are sorted last - but the sorting among tickets which have a priority defined is actually descending (i.e. "Medium" before "High Priority" before "Critical").
So maybe my problem is just with tickets with undefined priority, as the order among the tickets which have a priority defined is fine if I configure "ascending" - even if I'd call the resulting ordering "descending", but it's what I'd like to have.
In acending sorting, null values will always be first.
To change order of priorities, you have to change the sortOrder of priorities (on priorities screen).
If the sortOrder is not defined, priorities as sorted on name.
