I am using version 8.5.5 of the Projeqtor and added a few Activity->Task under a Project. I later linked them. I saw that the Gantt Chart was not aligned properly. I used the Calculate Capacity Planning button and saw that it did not change anything. The Gantt Chart did not update.
I tried the same thing with version 8.6.0 and it still has the bug.
I also tried deleting the links and reconnecting them, still it did not work. All the tasks are aligned from the start date. Also what does Validate planning mean. I tried that button and feel that caused the entire issue.
Hope you will fix the basic thing needed for the software to work quickly.
By default, ProjeQtOr calculates a capacity planning.
This means that unless you set planning mode as "fixed duration", you need to assign some work to get a planning calculation.
