Few questions. was created by F.Cheminade
Hello,

In the page of activites i think it's not normal that user can see the activities of all users that dependent of the project. Is it complicated to add a filter in this page ?

Is It possible to display in the allocation page that projects with a date less than the date selected in the upper of the page. Is it complicated to add a filter in this page ?

My planning is open on several months and it is difficult for a user to find in this list the allocation concerned.

It would be nice to make allocation directly from the schedule or activities to avoid dechanger often pages.

Thank you for your advice.

It is normal : it all depends of acces rights defined.
You can change it if you want.

You have access to filters on top right of screen.

No.
Maybe request #888 could fit your need.

It is possible to select activity in Gannt view, but to enter assignment you must select activities.

Thanks for your reponce.

I expect a new version may be able to enter the time directly in the activity or the schedule of the person. Projector is a great tool and I discovered that I just put up in my service. The only flaw is the Skipping the schedule page to the capture page time and it is not easy to navigate this page when the person thirty tasks to be carried out two months to come.

It's great work!

Hi, I'm not sure I understand clearly what you do.
Do yu enter directly work in the "real wolrk allocation" (imputation) screen ?
If so, this screen is not done that for.
Way to work is :
- assign a resource to an activity for some defined work : you then get assigned work, real work (=0 at the begionning) and left work=assigned work.
- then you use planning to calculate best way to plan activity work. You can play with dependencies, priorities, planning mode and WBS to fit the planning to your needs.
- then each resource, day by day (or at least once a week) enters real work in the allocation screen, and re-evaluates left work (this is the key to good planification)
- then project leader just has to recalculate planning to get new target.

I guess it's not the way you use the tool, so maybe screen ergonomics is not adapted.

This is exactly how we work except that I ask my teams to fill every day the work time.
In general, my teams are on the planning page for see their travail but they must pass on the entry page of time to indicate the time passing to work.

The problem is that in this page, the user can see all task they are assigned to them and it's very difficule to find the task to fill. After, the user return to the planning page for see a new task. I think that is more interesting to write the past time of the task directly on the task.

But this is not very important because your application is the best I could find on the net and I've tried a lot of things being a former user MSProject.

I benefits of this conversation to whether it would be easy to add the user availability period in the schedule. For example, enter a calendar by user for the vacations. Currently I make a action "Vacation" with high priority, but I think it will be better in another page

Anyway thank you for your feedback and sorry for my very bad english  .

Administrative projects should be used for this.
You define an administrative project, one task for "Vacation" (and possibly others like "Sickness", "Training", ...), and then you directly enter real work for administrative tasks.
