Hello,

I created an activity. I forecasted dome days of work, and assigned them to my team member.
As we are all super good ;) we finished the task in less time than planned. Now I want to close this activity, but I can't because I have some work left.

What should I do? If i change the activity assignement I will loose some information on what was planned.

Thank you for your help, but a bigger thanks to the amazing developement team that did an incredible job here!

Hi,

If I may try to help, I think what you are looking for is to set the "left work" to 0, without changing the "assigned work".
That way you still keep track of what was initially assigned, but with left work at 0 you should be able to close the activity.

Hi

Caccia is right : you just have to set your left work to zero.
You can do it either in the activity screen, throught the assignment update, or throught the "real work allocation screen".

I will never insist too much : left work is the key of planning.
Whatever the project managers plans, the working resource must update the left work, not only computing left = assigned - real (this is done automatically). But the resource must re-evaluate the left work !
This is the only way to give an overview of the real progress to the project manager, giving information about late ending or (as in your case) quicker done than planned.
So when work is done, the left work must be zero !!! (otherwise it means it is not completed)
