Hi,

i'm new about ProjeQtor and i would like to understand some things (i worked with active collab before).

I have 4 products, so i created 4 projects like i'm used to do. Then i want to do something like 1 sub project per version.

But actually if i really understand how to do with ProjeQtor, i have to create 4 "Products" with each 1 "Version" (my first version of each one), then 4 projects (represent my product) with 4 subprojects (represent my versions)... Maybe i'm missunderstanding something, but it seems really too much... So every new version i will have to create a subproject AND a "Version" ?

I just want to see how much time '(hours + Begin/End date) i spend in a version, and see a general gantt with all softwares + all version as subcategories

I saw i could bind a "Activities" with a Version (so it seems good), but i can't group "spend time" and task by Version. I tried with "Milestones" but it don't seems to be the solution.

And why can't i see in a "Report of a project" all tasks who are closed (how much time i spend) ? It's kind of sad :(

Sorry if i was not really clear, it's kind of hard to explain for me. Ask if you want to me to explain again.

4 products, so i created 4 projects like i'm used to do

This is not mandatory with ProjeQtOr

I just want to see how much time '(hours + Begin/End date) i spend in a version, and see a general gantt with all softwares + all version as subcategories

So you just have to create 1 project, 1 version per version ( ;) ) and link each version to the project. Then you will just "link" eact activity / ticket with dedicated version.
Reports will give you visibility on each version summary.
You'll find in "current status" caterory the reports you're looking for : for instance "version detail"

Thanks for the answer. Indeed i don't have to use "Products" & "Version" tabs.

What about displaying a gantt of an closed project / or with closed task ?

Show closed tasks of non closed project : just check "show closed items" on gantt view (see top right checkboxes)
Show closed project : beside project selector, click on button, and in the pop-up, check the "show closed items". This will allow to display closed project, and corresponding closed items.

Use Gantt screen and check "show closed items".
