This is the limit of free support : there is no commitment on delays for answers.Then a few days have passed, nothing. Still not visible in my posts, no way to tell whether the moderator deleted it, rejected it, or have not even looked. I cannot tell by looking.
If we don't have time to treat first post, we won't either to treat following.So I tried "a second" post (this one), and hoped that different moderators check different queues.
Turns out they aren't, since again nothing happened.
That would'nt have changed anything.Since this forum is the contact method there seemed to be no way to ask the moderators (whoever they might have been).
Then another few days have passed and I choose a way I consider impolite and directly emailed someone at the project, so someone actually looked at the mod queue and let me in. I don't know how long it would have taken if I hadn't emailed up someone.
Maybe this could be instructive for other newcomes : if you don,'t get an answer, you don't have to post twice, this won't change anything.Not complaining (I'm in now), just sharing a first time user experience.

Just recognise the difference between posting a question which nobody answered (which is a normal and common case in open source projects) and not being able to even post a question because account is held indefinitely.This is the limit of free support : there is no commitment on delays for answers.
Sometimes you'll get answers in few hours, sommetime it will take several days, and it could be weeks.

Yes, please! Do communicate this in visible and obvious places. Would have saved us a lot of characters.Maybe this could be instructive for other newcomes : if you don,'t get an answer, you don't have to post twice, this won't change anything. Just wait until someone can deal with your post.
That works well this way, no problems with that.We treat in priority support requests from clients who paid for professional support, so when number of requests is high on that side free support must wait a bit.
