What are the feature to manage Incoming mail ?

Do you have some description ? Or code ?

Example on feature needed

1 project creation
2 attach a mail with attachment to a project In a note
3 automatic Publish note attached to subscribers

Incoming emails, as of today, can only retreive replies from emails sent from projeqtor.
Then the message of email is stored as new note on corresponding item.

We plan to improve email feature to be able to create new Tickets from emails. Ticket #2199 on the roadmap.
Don't hésitate to contact us if you wish to sponsor it to have it on next release.

1 project creation

Will never be possible : new mail may create tickets on project, but not new project.

2 attach a mail with attachment to a project In a note

Not directly to project, but to a ticket of the project.
Attachments are not retreived yet, but this could be an improvment.

3 automatic Publish note attached to subscribers

This already work : you can sent an alert on some events, such as new notes. Or new tickets.
But it's difficult to send to subscribers for new tickets : no one can subscribe to ticket before it is created.
An improvment that could be usefull, is to concider that subscribers on project will retreive all changes (considered as subscribers on all items on project)

Projects are the heart of the PM business..

We post more on projects (deliverables, quote, statuses, task...) than on tickets.

May be linked to our project quality. I guess. :)

So, no incoming email feature around projects, :(

Using tickets as mail container seems not to be an good alternative/proposition.

no idea how to solve our need

That's why they won't be created through simple email.

We post more on projects (deliverables, quote, statuses, task...) than on tickets.

So you don't post projects !
You post on deliverables, on quotes, on tasks (what is a task ? an activity, an action or a ticket ?), ... that belong to a project.

So, no incoming email feature around projects

So all incoming emails concern projets.

Using tickets as mail container seems not to be an good alternative/proposition.

Tickets is not the email container, it is the object created from ticket. You may call it the request.
Then ticket must be managed.

But all this concern future email treatment.

Existing will add notes to any item (deliverables, quote, statuses, task,, ... project) from emails that are replies from emails sent by projeqtor.

To be more specific, let me explain more in detail

Daily, we receive new request/ticket that are transformed into a projet with a quote, orders, planning ....

Those requests ,are mainly done through an email, attached a word document with the need.

Today, I create an entry and updates the mandatory fields for this project, notify the team, affect the PM on the project, others members ...

So, if i can have a way to fix the email template, then on receipt, create the project, populate all values, that help me.

I known that is not done today nor planned, it just to highlight this post.
