Firefix random crashes was created by ekolossov
We are experiencing a lot of random crashes with projectorria when people trying to load 'Real work allocation page'. We tryed different OS and different versions of Firefox with the same effect. On some machines it is not crashing (yet?) on some it can be 7 times out of 10. Version - 2.4.0.
Any suggestions?

Hi,

Is this only appearing with V2.4 or is it also produced on V2.3 ?

What is the symmptom ? What really appens ?
- Firefox closes ?
- Firefox freezes ?
- Any error message ? Any log in FireFox ?

Could you try ti check if this appears only for some machines or for some users ?
- identify one machine (M1) that does not crash for user U1
- identify one machine (M2) that does not crash for user U2
- try with U1 on M2 and U2 on M1

- have not been reported on 2.3
- Firefox closes, logs are clear
- I have tried (my account been wiorking) on machine where it crash - it crash for me as well
- User from machine where it crash - on my machine -> crash and after that I try again ->crash even after cache cleaning...

Hi,

Do you have Firebug installed over FireFox ?
I found some possible issue with Dojo 1.7 when Firebug is installed.
Could you test on a Firefox without Firebug ?

Other point : what is the expected number of lines to be dispayed when Firefox crashes ?

Refering to Firefox doc in mozillazine (kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_crashes) crashes may be due to some extensions.
Could you please tests in safe mode as described.

Start in Firefox Safe Mode and click "Continue in Safe Mode". This will help determine if an extension is causing the problem, since Safe Mode disables all extensions.

- Firebug - on some machines, we cannot find any relation so far...happening on machines with and without it
- Completely different number of lines for diffeerent users
- yes, we have tried in safe mode - no relation found. Can crash in safe mode as well
